WWE: Chris Jericho’s current status and update for Hell in a Cell PPV

By Raja

Bengaluru, Oct 1: For the past few years, Chris Jericho appeared in the WWE for short time stints. He is under the contract of making only guest appearances. Jericho has been a loyal employee to the company since the get going and he is being called whenever needed.

This year too, prior to the Royal Rumble PPV, Y2J arrived to appear in the annual Rumble match. WWE was lacking big star power at that time and hence Jericho showed up to "save us."

At that point, Jericho admitted that he is not expected for a long time around due to a lot of other commitments after Royal Rumble.

However, he picked up a feud with AJ Styles and ended up having a match with at Wrestlemania. He was handed a jobber's task for Dean Ambrose in the post-Wrestlemania season. He is still continuing with his current stint acting as the best friend of the WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens.

Reports suggest that Jericho is heading for splitsville soon with his Canadian buddy. He will end up having a title opportunity at the Hell in a cell PPV. Ringsidenews.con confirmed that October's Hell in a Cell PPV will mark the end of his 2016 stint in WWE. He is scheduled to record an album with his own band Fozzy, then onwards.

In recent past, Jericho kept us updated with his busy schedule inside and outside WWE. However, despite the hectic schedule that he has he confirmed that he will not leave WWE until this year's end. He posted the same in a Facebook update on his official account.

If he indeed decides to leave then the title opportunity will be rewarded to him for his loyalty. The veteran was previously scheduled to appear in match inside Hell in a Cell alongside Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.

Once Balor got injured, his buddy Owens picked up the vacant Universal title. His inclusion in the title match would be for the sole purpose of helping Owens.
