WWE: Clash of Champions PPV is returning in December

New Delhi, Aug 26: As per a recent announcement on the social media, we might have got the entire PPV schedule for this fall. With this being confirmed, we now know what’s in store for us following the Summerslam PPV.

The concerned announcement was made by the TD Garden official Twitter handle where the return of the Clash of Champions PPV was confirmed.

After a recent episode of Raw was hosted from the same venue, the advertisement was made public which stated that the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts will host the Clash of Champions PPV on December 12th.

It was not clarified as of which brand will host this particular event on that night.

However, WWE is arranging the PPVs in an exchanged manner. It means the Raw-exclusive PPVs from 2016 have been handed to Smackdown, this year and vice-versa. Hence, this should be a Smackdown-exclusive event.

Plus, considering the date of the event, it is assumed that this show will be the final PPV of the year in 2017. In just two week time of this PPV, the holiday season will kick-off which means WWE will not have a proper date of hosting yet another PPV. September 24th, 2017: No Mercy (Raw)

October 8th, 2017: Hell In A Cell(SmackDown Live)

October 22nd, 2017: TLC: Tables Ladders & Chairs(RAW)

November 19th, 2017: Survivor Series(co-branded)

December 12th, 2017: Clash of Champions (Smackdown Live)

WWE has started the tradition of hosting the Clash of Champions PPV from last year onwards. It was the first-ever Raw-exclusive PPV following last year’s Summerslam. Previously, the Night of Champions concept was available in WWE calendar which was modified from an older WCW PPV.

As per the tradition, all the championships from the brand concerned will be on the line on that night. It is almost guaranteed that whoever walks out as the champion from Clash of Champions will end the year with the title in hand.
