Bengaluru, August 29: The pro-wrestling world was shaken once the confirmation was made for the matchup between John Cena and Roman Reigns. These two are certainly two of the biggest names in the mordern day WWE. Plus, there’s no denying that they are the most electrifying superstars recently in the squared circle.
So, the day John Cena moved to Monday Night Raw, the rumours were running rampant about this potential mega match. He went straight to call out The Big Dog last week to tease the same as well. This brought out a huge confrontation between the two guys who claim to be the face of the company.
Prior to last night’s Raw, WWE confirmed that the match between the two franchise players of the company will indeed happen soon. The news was first reported by 'PWInsider.com' followed by an article on WWE’s official website. Later, two superstars signed the contract on Raw to make this match official.
These two behemoths will go toe to toe at the next PPV in line that is No Mercy. This is going to be a Raw-exclusive PPV on 24th of September. The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California will be the host of this “one of a kind” match.
Check out what WWE.com has to offer regarding this upcoming battle:
“At WWE No Mercy, John Cena will battle Roman Reigns for the first time in what is sure to be a knock-down, drag-out, WrestleMania-worthy main event.
Brace yourself for the iconic bout between John Cena and Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on WWE Network.”
Considering that this is a huge match up and as it was previously rumoured for Wrestlemania 34, there is a speculation which suggests that only one match would not be enough for the involved duo.
The animosity between them is quite high as seen on Raw and this might be just the beginning of a feud that might continue till the biggest event of the year. So, it will be quite interesting to see what WWE creative has in store for the potential feud.
