As the WWE Draft 2024 edition looms closer, anticipation builds around the fans regarding what the company has in store for the shakeup around the main roster. There's been speculations around NXT's involvement in the event and that could be significant.
Recent rumours are going around the internet that a few main roster talents could transition to NXT as part of the draft. Insights from sources close to NXT's creative process, including Fightful Select's Corey Brennan suggest that these moves might not just be hypothetic.

The example has been given for this instance where The Final Testament and The Viking Raider appeared on NXT. The latter confronted North American Champion Oba Femi while the team led by Karrion Kross ambushed new tag team champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
The upcoming weeks of NXT programming will be focused on the upcoming Draft. But there's an uncertainty regarding the specifics of which NXT talents might ascend to the main roster and vice-versa.
Despite discussions, NXT head honcho Shawn Michaels reportedly remains uncertain about who will be drafted. Names like Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov are speculated to be strong contenders to go onto Raw or SmackDown.
NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez's fate could be also decided during the Draft. Talents like Tony D'Angelo's Family and Baron Corbin have emerged as potential candidates to move into either Raw or SmackDown from NXT.
This is all said to be a part of WWE's efforts to make NXT the third brand of WWE, once again. In 2019, such an attempt was made to put NXT on the same level as Raw and SmackDown when the gold brand moved to the USA Network.
