Bengaluru, July 22: Shinsuke Nakamura debuted on the main roster of the WWE as part of the Smackdown roster once the Wrestlemania season was over. Ever since then, WWE universe is trying to find out when the inevitable match between AJ Styles and Nakamura will happen.

In fact, it is speculated by the fans that this match is one of the sole reasons picked by the WWE creative while choosing Nakamura for Smackdown rather than Monday Night Raw.

But, since both of them are strong newcomers to the company, it was not possible to start a rift between them apart from a couple of face-offs.

As per the recent updates from reliable sources, WWE writers might have reserved the matchup for the Wrestlemania season, next year.

Both of these men will be out of the WWE title picture, for now, and engage for the most prestigious title when the biggest event of the year comes around in 2018.

But, in a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that WWE Creative is planning for a bigger match at Summerslam.

The earlier planned Wrestlemania match between Styles and Nakamura will be preponed to this slot, abruptly.

“I think that is the match. I would say with some degree of confidence that you're gonna see Styles and Nakamura against each other at SummerSlam. That was the whole idea behind the tease they did at the Money in the Bank show"

Apparently, WWE will leave no stones unturned in making the 30th anniversary of Summerslam, a spectacular event by all means. Hence, the mega bout might happen, much earlier than first thought.

The tease for the same has already been demoed when Nakamura and Styles had a confrontation during the Money in the Bank Ladder match.

For now, Nakamura will square off against Baron Corbin at the Battleground PPV while Styles will challenge Kevin Owens for the United States title. Now that Styles has won the US title then this match might be contested for this championship, as well.
