WWE: Edge returns to Smackdown next week for the 900th episode

WWE superstar Edge all set to return to Smackdown for the 900th episode.

Bengaluru, Nov 9: Next week's Smackdown is going to be an epic one as it is going to celebrate its 900th episode in style.

Previously, it was announced that The Undertaker will return on his home turf of Smackdown en route to Survivor Series.

Now, in addition, it was announced that the Rated-R Superstar, Edge will return home, as well. Next week, the ultimate Opportunist will return to Smackdown Live to host a special edition of Cutting Edge. His guest will be none other than the Smackdown Commissioner, Shane McMahon.

So, we just can't wait to see what both of these bring to the table to fire up the blue brand on the go home show for Survivor Series PPV. This is what WWE.com had to offer following with a tweet from Shane himself.

“WWE Hall of Famer and SmackDown LIVE legend Edge will return to Team Blue for the 900th episode to host his always memorable talk show, “The Cutting Edge."

SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that his guest on Twitter would be none other than Shane McMahon himself!"

Smackdown is seeing a huge downfall in terms of ratings for the past couple of weeks. With the absence of John Cena, the roster is lacking depth and the rivalry between Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles was stretched to TLC.

So, next week's show is supposed to give a boost to the blue brand's viewership. Also, the presence of Edge and Undertaker will provide the team some sort of momentum before heading into Survivor Series.

Both, Edge and Undertaker is the synonymous names for Smackdown Live, over the years. While John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H were marquee players on Raw, Edge, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Batista etc. were the torch-bearers for Smackdown Live.

Edge will definitely make a one-off appearance on Smackdown Live since he was forced to retire due to the neck injury. But, the Undertaker is supposed to continue his feud with the Wyatt family upon return.
