Bengaluru, February 13: WWE heads to Canada this weekend as Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown will host the first-ever Elimination Chamber event in the Great White North.

The 13th edition of the Elimination Chamber, where two matches of the premium live event's namesake will headline the card, will also be held for the second successive year out of the United States after the event was held in Saudi Arabia last year.

The gimmick-based Elimination Chamber matches will see one title match and one for an opportunity to challenge a prime champion at a later date.

The men's chamber match will be for the United States championship, while the women's match will be for a number one contender's spot for the Raw Women's Championship.

Apart from the gimmick based elimination chamber matches, the premium live event will also see the Undisputed Universal Title on the line along two matches based on recent rivalry. One is a mixed tag team, while the other is a one-on-one matchup.

The card that features just four matches as it stands could see a few changes as we build up to the event during the week's Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.

Elimination Chamber Match Rules

The match is contested by six wrestlers with two of them starting the match in the ring, and the other four are locked in pods or glass chambers.

After a certain amount of time (either three, four or five minutes) a chamber opens at random and a wrestler is added to the two already competing, and this continues until all men are released.

In the match, Wrestlers are eliminated either by pin-fall or submission like any other elimination match. In the end, the winner is decided by the final man left after all others have been eliminated.
