WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 PLE results, recap and highlights

The original main event saw the hometown hero Sami Zayn challenging Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Title.

Bengaluru, February 19: The final pay-per-view before Wrestlemania 39 was presented in the form of Elimination Chamber where two titular matches inside the ominous steel cage structure served as co-main-events.

The original main event saw the hometown hero Sami Zayn challenging Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Title. Brock Lesnar's rivalry with Bobby Lashley was wrapped up in their third match while WWE's Grit couple was up against Judgment Day.

Check out the recap and results from the 2023 Elimination Chamber premium live event that took place at the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada:

- Asuka defeated Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and Natalya to win the Number-One Contender's Elimination Chamber Match for the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 39.

Natalya and Liv Morgan started the match followed by the respective entrants Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and Asuka.

Nikki was the first woman to get eliminated after Raquel slammed her through the pod glass for the pin-fall win. Natalya and Asuka put Liv in a double submission as the latter passed out for elimination.

Carmella superkick-ed Natalya for the third elimination from the match. Asuka and Mella worked together and pinned Raquel after hitting her with a flurry of submission.

Asuka then submitted Carmella with the Asuka Lock maneuver to win the match. WWE officially announced that Asuka will face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39 for WWE Raw Women's Championship.

- Bobby Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar via DQ in the rubber match. Brock was frustrated as Lashley kicked out of multiple F5s. Lashley hit a Spear and applied the Hurt Lock as Lesnar low-blowed Lashley to cause the disqualification.

As the match outcome went against him, Brock hit the referee with an F5. He then planted Lashley with two more F5s, one through the commentary table.

- Edge and Beth Phoenix defeated Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley with Dominik Mysterio) in a mixed tag team match.

Dominik passed brass knuckles to Rhea and she punched Edge with it but Edge still kicked out of a pin attempt.

The finish saw Edge spearing Balor while Beth Glam-slammed Rhea. Edge and Beth then hit the Shatter machine finisher to pin Balor for the win.

- United States Champion Austin Theory (c) defeated Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Montez Ford, and Damian Priest in an Elimination Chamber Match to retain his title.

Seth Rollins and Johnny Gargano began the match as Theory, Priest, and Ford joined the fray, respectively. In a crazy spot of the match, Ford delivered a splash from the top of the chamber on the match participants.

It took Gargano, Rollins, and Ford to hit One Final Beat, Carb Stomp, and a Frogsplash, respectively to eliminate Reed. Priest hit Gargano with the Razor's Edge for the next elimination.

Rollins hoisted Priest on his shoulders as Ford hit a Blockbuster from that position to pin Priest. Ford then missed a Frogsplash as Theory got up his knees. Rollins quickly followed up with the Carb Stomp for the next elimination.

Seth hit Theory with a Pedigree and he was looking to end things with a Stomp, but Logan Paul entered the chamber and took out Rollins with a Stomp! Theory hit the A-Town Down move to pin Rollins to win the Men's Chamber match.

- Roman Reigns (c) defeated Sami Zayn to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of Elimination Chamber 2023.

In an electric atmosphere in Montreal, both Roman and Sami hit their respective finishers but failed to secure the pin-fall win. The referee was accidentally knocked out a Jimmy Uso came out to attack Sami.

After hitting 3 Superkicks and a Frogplash, Jimmy put Roman on top of Sami as a new referee came out but Sami kicked out of the pin count. Sami took out Jimmy but Roman spear-ed him for a near-fall.

Jey Uso showed up and Roman instructed him to hit Sami with a Steel Chair. Jey hesitated as Sami started back-firing. Out of the intense situation, Sami accidentally hit a Spear on Jey.

Roman then started smashing Sami with the Steel Chair before pinning him with a Spear. More beatdowns were reserved for Sami after the match but Kevin Owens came out to make the save.

Owens hit both Roman and Jimmy with Stunners before powerbomb-ing Jimmy through the announce table. Heyman wanted to attack Owens with a chair but he was taken out with a Stunner.

In the end, Sami hit Roman Reigns with a Helluva Kick amid a thunderous reaction from the crowd. Sami stood tall in the middle of the ring to end the show.
