Bengaluru, March 12: Last night, we witnessed a huge six-pack challenge WWE Championship match which set up another main event for Wrestlemania. Apart from this, all the other titles on the Smackdown roster were also on the line at the WWE Fastlane PPV event - the last brand-exclusive PPV event before Wrestlemania.

Check out what transpired at the event hosted by the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev

This matchup kicked off the Fastlane PPV as Nakamura headed out first followed by Rusev who showed up with Aiden English by his side. The Bulgarian Brute tried to lock in the Accolade but it was countered with a roll up. He also attempted a superkick but failed.

Nakamura then hit a kick to the back and followed it with the Kinshasa on Rusev to pick up the win.

WWE United States Title Match

Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode

Both of them went for early finishing moves in this contest but failed. Later, Roode connected with a spinebuster and tried to follow it up with a blockbuster. But, Orton countered it and connected with an RKO to win the match and become the new United States Champion at Fastlane.

After the match, Jinder Mahal came out to ambush both Orton and Roode. But, the former US Champion who was frustrated with the title loss, floored both Mahal and Orton with Glorious DDTs.

SmackDown Tag Team Title Match

The New Day vs. The Usos

The tag team championship match at Fastlane was an entertaining one but it turned out to be a no contest due to interference. The Usos hit their opponents Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston with high flying moves to put them down.

The Bludgeon Brothers appeared out of nowhere and started attacking all the competitors to disqualify the match.

Women’s Division Tag Team Match

Becky Lynch and Naomi vs. Natalya and Carmella

Becky Lynch tried to lock in the arm-bar on Carmella in the early part of the matchup. But, Carmella escaped the hold and tagged in her partner, Natalya.

She went back and forth against Naomi until Becky received a hot tag. She was quickly distracted by Natalya who interfered with the Money in the Bank briefcase. This allowed Carmella to hit a superkick on Becky and win the match via pinfall.

SmackDown Women's Title Match

Ruby Riott vs. Charlotte Flair

Charlotte tried to win the matchup via the figure four very early in the match. But, Riott escaped and sent her opponent to the turnbuckle. To provide assistance, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan showed up at the ringside area. They were neutralized by Becky Lynch and Naomi, quickly.

Later, the referee sent them away from ringside. Charlotte took advantage of this and hit a spear. Then she locked in the figure-eight to retain her title at Fastlane. Later, Asuka appeared to hint that she will challenge Flair at Wrestlemania.

Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE Title

John Cena vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens vs. Baron Corbin vs. AJ Styles

John Cena was determined to win the match and hence connected with AAs to all the opponents to begin the match. AJ Styles was the only one who dodged the move. Later, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn went after one another and accidentally hit Shane McMahon with a superkick.

John Cena then hit Ziggler with an AA but Owens broke the pin with a pop-up powerbomb. AJ Styles hit a phenomenal forearm on Owens to pin him clean. He retained the WWE title to close the Fastlane PPV.
