Bengaluru, December 2: WWE Superstar John Cena is in hot water as car manufacturers Ford are planning to sue him for violating a deal signed between them.
Earlier this year, John Cena bought a brand new car from Ford, which cost $500,000. During the handover, a deal was signed between them which stated that the WWE star has to keep the car under his ownership for at least two years before doing anything else with it.
But recently, the Cenation Leader decided to sell the car, which has landed him in trouble. Ford is preparing to go to the court over this issue soon. The renowned motor company was willing to keep the company goodwill intact with this contract signed with Cena. But they will now engage in a legal battle as Cena violated their deal.
"Mr. Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale," read a statement by Ford.
The company is likely to claim the profit made by the WWE Superstar by the resale of the vehicle. They will also claim compensation for the damage done to the property, including the goodwill.
