WWE Hall of Fame 2024: Paul Heyman announced as first inductee

Paul Heyman has been confirmed to join the WWE Hall of Fame as the first of the 2024 class of inductees. Thus, perhaps the greatest manager in the history of professional wrestling is all set to receive the most prestigious honor of his career.

In an announcement first made by the Associated Press, last night, it was revealed that The Bloodline cohort will be the inaugural member of the honorary Hall of Fame class for this year for all his contributions to the world of pro-wrestling.

The 2024 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place, next month on April 5th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania a city synonymous with Heyman's work with the ECW promotion which was taken over by the WWE.

Shortly after this, ECW re-emerged in WWE as part of the infamous "Invasion" storyline where Heyman aligned himself with Stephanie and Shane McMahon against Vince McMahon's core WWE. But ultimately, it was the McMahon Sr. who prevailed.

From that point onward, Heyman acted in the WWE as a backstage influencer for countless wrestlers. On TV, he formed alliances with Superstars like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, and Kurt Angle to elevate their careers like never before.

Since the summer of 2020, Paul Heyman has been appointed as The Special Council to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his outspoken role has been playing a key part in perhaps the most impressive title reign of the modern era.

That being said, Heyman's contribution to the world of sports entertainment remains unmatched and WWE made the perfect choice to give him entry to the Hall of Fame in the city of Philadelphia which became synonymous with his groundwork.

The news of his Wiseman's Hall of Fame induction pleased WWE's Tribal Chief Roman Reigns who reacted in the classic Bloodline style with the finger-raising emoji. Alongside him, plenty of current and former stars reacted to the news on social media.
