WWE Hall of Fame: Highlights from 2024 edition of the prestigious ceremony

Once the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown went off the air for WrestleMania 40, the Hall of Fame 2024 ceremony was underway. The inductions were done inside the ring while guests sat around it.

CM Punk was being interviewed backstage in the opening scene while AEW star Keith Lee was surprisingly shown on camera. Lee was there since he's married to SmackDown wrestler "Michin'" Mia Yim.

One of the notable presences of the night saw Stephanie McMahon accompanying her husband Triple H in the ring. After announcing her departure from WWE last year, this marked her first TV appearance in more than a year.

- Paul Heyman was the first inductee for into the WWE Hall of Fame 2024 class. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out to induct him. Roman credited his Wise Man for making The Tribal Chief character into reality.

ECW originals Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, and Bubba Ray Dudley were in attendance as Heyman was greeted by them during his entrance. After putting over WWE CCO Triple H, he stated the following to Stephanie, "It's time for Stephanie to admit she married the wrong Paul."

Heyman also talked about how ECW changed the wrestling business in the 90s. Interestingly, Heyman openly mentioned Brock Lesnar on multiple occasions while talking about conquering The Undertaker's Streak 10 years ago.

- Alundra Blayze inducted Bull Nakano to the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame. Bull talked about the challenges she faced in the United States of not knowing much English. But in a re-birth, she would still be happy to be Bull Nakano, the pro-wrestler.

- The Undertaker came out to induct Muhammad Ali where his widow Lonnie Ali gave the speech. Lonnie revealed that Ali was honored to let The Rock use the "People's Champion" moniker. The Rock came out and received The People's Championship.

- Bo Dallas along with his sister Mika Rotunda came out to pay tribute to Bray Wyatt, before introducing his father and uncle, Mike Rotunda & Barry Windham, The US Express. Mike ended his speech by switching on his phone's flashlight in a homage to Wyatt.

- Thunderbolt Patterson came out next for his induction. He was inducted by The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods). Patterson talked about fighting racism and told people to stop playing the race card.

- The Rock came out to induct his grandmother, Lia Maivia, and mentioned Vince McMahon's name to generate a little boos. The Great One thanked his grandmother for everything in his career before telling the fans to get ready for WrestleMania to end Hall of Fame 2024.
