Since her husband was taken into custody, renowned professional wrestler Nikki Garcia better known as Nikki Bella by the WWE Universe has maintained her silence on the matter. But a divorce filing has also been filed from her side at the latest.

TMZ previously reported that Bella was reportedly seeking a divorce lawyer soon after her husband Artem Chigvintsev’s arrest situation. In an update, the source has now informed that she has filed for divorce on Wednesday.

The step comes two weeks after Artem was arrested for felony corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant following a domestic incident between the two. An audio clip of the 911 call made during the incident was made public, afterward.

According to the dispatcher describing the situation, Artem mentioned that her wife had thrown shoes at him, which may have escalated the intensity of the situation. A child, possibly their son Matteo was also present at the scene.

The former WWE Divas Champion was thereafter spotted in Oakland, California, boarding a private plane with a friend and she was reportedly heading for an eating competition hosting purpose without her wedding ring.

The spotting has since sparked their separation rumours and it’s now been further confirmed by TMZ that Bella has hired divorce attorney Evan Craig Itzkowitz for the court proceedings that should commence in the near future.

The source also confirmed that Nikki Bella is living in the couple’s home in Napa Valley, California, while Chigvintsev has moved out of the house. As for their son, the elder Bella is taking care of him.

The pro-wrestling fraternity was shocked by Artem’s arrest while the close friends of Artem and Bella have since affirmed that the couple’s relationship has been “volatile” and that there have been frequent verbal arguments between the two.

After parting ways with former WWE colleague John Cena, Nikki Bella dated Artem in 2018 before they got married in 2022. The journey until the ceremony was converted into a TV show named “Nikki Bella Says I Do.”
