WWE: Hell In A Cell PPV date and venue announced

Bengaluru, August 4: During the last WWE house show in Detroit City, the crowd in attendance learned the huge news regarding an upcoming PPV. As part of the company's Summerslam HeatWave tour, major names from both Raw and Smackdown roster were present on that night.
The audience got to see some marquee matches included Brock Lesnar defending his Universal Championship. Plus, this show marked the last-ever event hosted at the famous Joe Louis Arena in the city. So, most of the superstars from WWE bid farewell to the iconic venue.
In addition, WWE announced a replacement for this venue where they will return after two months with an annual PPV.
It was disclosed during the show that this year's Hell in a Cell PPV will be hosted at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on the 8th of October. It will be a Smackdown-exclusive PPV.
The news of WWE returning to Detroit with a big PPV was on the rumour mill for quite sometime. However, due to the newer venue issues, nothing was confirmed until that night. This is confirmed, right now that it will first PPV conducted by Smackdown following Summerslam.
WWE started hosting the Hell in a Cell PPV in the year 2009. That year the tradition started with a huge six-man tornado tag team match between D-Generation X and The Legacy. It means this year will mark the ninth consecutive event in this chronology.
Due to a certain alteration in WWE PPV calendar, the PPVs hosted following Summerslam will be swapped across the brands. The 2016 Raw-exclusive PPVs will be hosted by Smackdown, this year and vice-versa. We expect to get at least a new PPV during the fall which indicates there will be quite a change in WWE PPV calendar.
Hell in a Cell PPV is one of the most popular gimmick oriented PPV in the WWE which is built around a demonic structure.
With the better ideas that Smackdown comes up with, we can definitely expect a successful event. But, prior to this, we will get to witness the Summerslam and No Mercy PPVs on the WWE Network.
