WWE : John Cena Announces Elimination Chamber Participation, Aims To End Career On High At His Last WrestleMania

By MyKhel Staff

John Cena, the 16-time WWE World Champion, has made an electrifying announcement following his last-ever Rumble appearance at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

The wrestling legend revealed that he will compete at the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2025, with his sights set firmly on securing his 17th WWE title as he is in the final year of his illustrious pro-wrestling career.

This victory would place Cena in the record books as the most successful champion in WWE history.

In a passionate statement to the media after the Royal Rumble, Cena opened up about his journey and intentions. "In the 23 years I've been in this business I know there are different perspectives about my path. But my truth is that I haven't used my opportunities for a spot I haven't earned. Tonight was special for many reasons. But, it has begun to sink in that it was by the last Royal Rumble. I had a moment, let the energy sink in and realized that Las Vegas was going to be my last WrestleMania," Cena shared, reflecting on his career's monumental milestones.

He also addressed any concerns regarding his potential to overshadow other talents. Cena made it clear that his desire to main-event WrestleMania wasn't about personal ego but about merit. "The last time I main-evented WrestleMania was 2013. That's a long time ago. The reason that hasn't been at the forefront of my mind was that I've been a gimmick, I've been the first match, I've been in the middle. I've shared years with the fans. But my truth, my perspective is that I have always done what's best for business," he said.

Cena's words underscored his continued commitment to WWE and the fans. "Tonight standing in this ring, I wanted this experience to be a tour of goodwill. I openly admitted I don't know how much I've left in the tank. I just wanted to do something nice for all of us to get together and have a good time. Unfortunately tonight it dawned on me that it's not best for business. What's best for business is that I main-event WrestleMania, and what is best for business is that I confidently say that I will win my 17th Championship."

The former WWE Champion made it clear that his desire for a chance at the spotlight was earned over decades of dedication. "I am saying that because after 23 years of loyal service to the company, I feel that opportunity is earned. And yes, I am flying back to Hungary for a movie. So what I am going to do is give my five other opponents 1 month to slander my name and bolster their self-confidence as best as they can."

The Leader Of Cenation also revealed his focus on achieving his goal, sharing his motivation with the fans: "I told Toronto when I announced my retirement that I was grateful for the city and I would be back. And I would be back to kick a**. Now it is time to walk that talk and be who I say I am. I am going to the Elimination Chamber to win and I am going to win and main-event WrestleMania and win the 17th Championship because it is best for business."

His ultimate aim is not personal glory but to pave the way for future stars. Cena concluded with a heartfelt message: "I say that because it is not best for my ego or best for my business, I have built my existence here off hard work, loyalty to the company and respect for all of its branches. I will win 17 not for me but to someday shake the hand of someone who has won 18."

With his sights set on history, John's journey to potentially claim his 17th Championship and main-event WrestleMania 2025 promises to be one of the most captivating storylines in WWE history. Fans and critics alike will be watching closely as the Elimination Chamber draws near.
