Bengaluru, March 24: For the third consecutive year (overall 7th year), Roman Reigns is entering WWE's biggest premium live event, WrestleMania as the headliner to set an all-time record of main-eventing the show for the maximum number of occasions.
Roman Reigns will compete in this next title defense in the main event of WrestleMania 39 - Night Two by putting his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against 2023 Men's Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.

If the current reports are to be believed then the marquee superstar is scheduled to appear on Backlash 2023 on May 6th and then at WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2023 irrespective of whether he remains the champion or not.
In an interesting statistic, it's been revealed that if Roman Reigns manages to retain the undisputed title at both WrestleMania and then at Backlash, then he will complete 1,000 days as the champion on May 27th.
This is the same day the WWE King & Queen of The Ring premium live event is scheduled from Saudi Arabia. According to The Wrestling Blog, Roman will travel to the middle-east country for this show to feature in a special segment.
As per the source, The Head of the Table isn't planned for a match at King & Queen of the Ring but instead, a special celebration ceremony is being planned for him on that night in honor of his 1000-day title reign.
Betting odds are favoring Cody Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Hollywood but reports also suggest that WWE may not pull the plug on this title reign due to the challenger's lack of credentials in his WWE career.
Besides, the Cody vs. Roman saga will likely continue throughout the post-WrestleMania season. On that note, it should also be mentioned that Roman is reportedly set for the main event match of Backlash 2023 which could be between the two below-mentioned matches:
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship/WWE Championship (if WWE Draft happens before Backlash)
OR
- The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos) vs. Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn in a non-title six-man tag team match
The traditional King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will be culminated in the titular WWE premium live event on May 27, crowning a new King and Queen from WWE male and female superstars, respectively.
But being the undisputed champion of the WWE roster and King & Queen of the Ring being an international event from Jeddah, Roman Reigns is still the favorite to headline the show if not he goes into a post-Mania hiatus.
