The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will expectedly headline the next WWE premium live event, King & Queen of the Ring, and this time the United States Champion Logan Paul is next in line for his title.
The post-Backlash France episode of SmackDown kicked off with General Manager Nick Aldis introducing and congratulating Rhodes for successfully defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles at Backlash but he soon shifted his focus on King & Queen Of The Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia.

Acknowledging Rhodes' desire to defend his title against top contenders, Aldis was quick to introduce him to his next challenger, Logan Paul who proposed a Champion vs. Champion showdown with Rhodes in the main event of King & Queen Of The Ring.
Paul underestimated the accomplishments of Rhodes and further envisioned to emerge victorious and leave the Saudi Arabia PLE as the Undisputed WWE Champion. Paul's US Title was also teased to be on the line but that's not confirmed.
Rhodes praised Paul as a wrestler and his to-date achievements in the WWE but he also called Paul disrespectful, self-centered, and delusional, and that Paul can't win a single match without cheating. Below is an excerpt of Rhodes' promo.
"And you are out here taking credit for something that doesn't belong to you, doesn't belong to me. This right here is a team. And at the Queen & King of the ring in Saudi Arabia, you are going to find out where you stand on that team."
Rhodes also pointed out that winning the United States Title from Paul would make him a Grand Slam Champion in the WWE as the segment ended with Rhodes and Paul standing face-to-face and posing with their respective belts.
Later on SmackDown, it was announced that Cody Rhodes & Logan Paul will make their King & Queen of the Ring matchup official on next Friday's episode with a contract signing where we will also get to know if both the titles will be on the line.
The 2024 King and Queen of the Ring premium live event is scheduled from the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 25. The currently confirmed match card for the show following SmackDown goes as follows:
