WWE: Latest update on the Smackdown women’s championship match

Bengaluru, March 28: We are just five days away from the biggest extravaganza of the year that is Wrestlemania but apparently, there are still no confirmations about how the Smackdown women's title match would go down.

As announced by the GM, Daniel Bryan, it will have all the 'available' female superstars from the blue brand.

Apparently, a lot of twists are waiting with this 'available' catch-phrase. As seen on last week's graphics by WWE, Alexa Bliss has four opponents for now.

They are Mickie James, Natalya, Becky Lynch and Carmella. But, she is soon to b e joined by some more names.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Summer Rae will be another participant for this match. She was selected on Raw during the WWE draft but since she did not show up for one single week, there should not be any problem to use her on Smackdown.

The potentially talented Diva has started performing at the WWE performance Center and waiting for the creative's signal to get into the championship match. For those who don't know, she has dealt with back and neck problems for an entire year.

The former champion, Naomi too is trying tooth-and-nail to return on the grandest stage for this title match.

Wrestlemania is being held in her hometown of Orlando and she does not intend to miss out such a lifetime opportunity. Hence, she is expected to take part in this match.

Furthermore, two more names are expected to make their presence felt. They are Tamina Snuka and Eva Marie.

The previous name is performing regularly on the live events whereas the formerly known 'all-red everything' is likely to get a one-off match at Mania.

The source also stated that former WWE superstars Kelly Kelly and Lisa Marie Veron (Victoria) were also contacted by the company to get into this title match.

Kelly has already received a WWE contract, supposedly but no confirmation was made regarding Victoria.

Also, a stipulation is likely to be added to the contest. The match would either be made a Gauntlet or a battle royal elimination contest. More updates will be given on the next episode of Smackdown.
