Bengaluru, February 28: We kicked off the second round of the Mixed Match Challenge contest starting this week. This tournament began last month with a view to donate a huge amount of money to charity. Furthermore, this is the first ever contest that is hosted exclusively on Facebook Watch.
Six teams qualified for the second round of the series and two of them locked horns, last night.
It was two teams Monday Night Raw that were in action. Finn Balor and Sasha Banks who defeated Nakamura and Natalya were up against Asuka and the Miz who had a dominant outing against Big E and Carmella.
The venue was not new for The Miz as the match was contested in his hometown, Los Angeles, California. The Intercontinental Champion is the self-proclaimed Hollywood star around here. Hence, he took the opportunity to cut a promo before the match began and decided to start the match against Finn Balor.

But, instead of starting the contest, he went on to talk trash about the one who could potentially challenge him at Wrestlemania. It has to be noted that Balor defeated Miz on WWE Raw which is why he is a contender for the IC title. So, the title-holder blasted his potential opponent with his verbal skills.

This was countered by the first-ever Universal Champion by virtue of some actions. He fired numerous shots at The Miz to put him down. Asuka was not happy with her partner’s actions in the match. She wanted to be tagged into the contest but Miz was reluctant to do so. The Empress of Tomorrow had no choice but to tag herself in, this forced Sasha Banks into the match, as well.
Asuka hit some of the IT kicks similar to her partners but Banks countered it and delivered some of her own YES kicks. But, Asuka countered this and tagged Miz into the contest.

Balor looked forward to this opportunity and hit Miz with the Coup De Grace. The pinfall was broken by Asuka who saved her team from defeat. Afterwards, the match was ended in the following manner with the results going in favor of The Miz & Asuka, (courtesy WWE.com)
“Taking her lead, Bálor locked The Miz in his own version of The Bank Statement. Asuka escaped Sasha’s clutches and trapped The Boss in the Asuka Lock, the non-legal Sasha tapped, and the distraction allowed Miz to roll up his opponent for the epic victory!“
