WWE Monday Night Raw preview and schedule: September 4, 2017

Bengaluru, September 4: Three weeks ahead of the upcoming No Mercy PPV, WWE Raw is coming up with a first-time ever matchup in the main event. If that’s not enough then the match will be contested for the Intercontinental Championship.
After complaining numerous times for not defending his title at Summerslam, the Hollywood A-lister will finally get a deserving candidate to face him. Plus, there will be a huge steel cage match on this Labor Day edition.
The episode will take place at the Century Link Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Live telecast of the show will be available on the Sony Ten 1 Network from 5.30 AM IST onwards while the repeat telecast will go on air at 4 PM and 9 PM IST, tomorrow (September 5) on the Ten 1 Network.
Jeff Hardy has earned the rights to be called the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship after winning the 15-men battle royal last week. This was quite an interesting decision considering that the officials are planning the Hardy Boyz to be involved in singles competition.
The Raw GM has also stated that even if The Miz is defending the IC title tonight, he will have to compete in another title match at the No Mercy PPV. He did not clarify as to who is going to be the champion’s opponent. This is an indication that tonight’s match might end via a disqualification by the interference of Miz’s entourage members. It will set up a rematch at No Mercy.
It was quite a surprise not to witness Braun Strowman on last week’s WWE Raw. He will collide in a monstrous clash against Big Show inside a steel cage. This has been arranged to give a fitting reply to Brock Lesnar. The champion was present on two consecutive shows after Summerslam and hence we are not going to see him tonight.
John Cena and Roman Reigns have already set the bars pretty high with the microphone mayhem last week. As per WWE.com, they are not going to stop with this and will try to go beyond this,
“The Cenation Leader and The Big Dog were somewhat civil when they triumphantly teamed up against Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson moments after their verbal joust, but something tells us the next time these two rivals see each other, they’ll trade more than just insults.”
It is quite clear now that Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax will start a feud over the Raw Women’s Championship. However, we should not be surprised to see Emma getting into the mix since she is finally receiving a push. The rivalry between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt will also continue after the former one cost Balor his spot in last week's Battle Royal.
