
Bengaluru, February 21: WWE finished their journey in the country of Canada with the latest episode of Raw as the native land star Edge performed in the main event against the United States Champion Austin Theory.
WWE Hall of Famer Lita also attended the show to set up a huge championship match for next week, while Elimination Chamber match winner Asuka not only confronted Bianca Belair, but also competed in a match against Nikki Cross.
Check out the recap and results from the February 20 episode of Monday Night Raw that took place at the Canadian Tier Center in Ottawa, Canada:
- Raw kicked off with Sami Zayn's addressal of his loss to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2023. Sami called out Kevin Owens to the ring and apologized to him for not listening to his earlier advice about The Bloodline.
Zayn asked Owens for his help to take The Bloodline down. Owens turned down the offer and he rather suggested Sami to go to Jey Uso for help. After this segment, Baron Corbin attacked Zayn to set up a match.
- Sami Zayn defeated Baron Corbin in the opening match of Raw. Kicking out of a Deep Six by Corbin, Zayn ran through him with the Helluva Kick for the pin-fall victory.
- During an interview with Byron Saxton, Rhea Ripley (with Dominik Mysterio) discussed her upcoming title match at Wrestlemania 39 against Charlotte Flair.
Dominik said his father will be in a match on SmackDown this Friday, so he might appear on the show with Ripley, who will be there to have a face-off with Charlotte.
- In a backstage interview, United States Champion Austin Theory expressed his disagreement over John Cena returning to Raw in two weeks.
- Mustafa Ali defeated Dolph Ziggler in a short match by reversing the fall attempt by Ziggler after a Famouser.
- Cody Rhodes came to the ring and was immediately interrupted by Paul Heyman on the tron. Paul cut straight to the point and said that Cody can't beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
Heyman then dragged Cody's family and personal life by mentioning that winning the undisputed championship will hamper all of those and Cody won't want his life to go in that direction.
Cody ended the segment by saying: "I have to finish the story. I beat you at WrestleMania."
- Asuka defeated Nikki Cross with her unique arm submission with Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair sitting at ringside. After the match, Asuka tried to scare Belair by showing the blue liquid in her mouth.
- During a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, Carmella claimed to give Asuka a receipt for pinning her at Elimination Chamber. Adam Pearce later told Carmella that she'll indeed face Asuka on next week's Raw.
- MVP called Brock Lesnar a coward for low-blowing Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber. MVP then revealed that his client, The "Nigerian Giant" Omos is challenging The Beast to a match at WrestleMania 39.
- Seth Rollins defeated The Miz via Referee Stoppage. After a Carb Stomp, Rollins could simply pin The Miz but instead, he continued to attack him, forcing the referee to stop the match.
- Bayley held a "Ding Dong, Hello!" segment with WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Bayley called them the greatest Women's Tag Team Champions of all time.
Becky Lynch interrupted alongside WWE Hall Of Famer Lita. Becky and Lita then challenged Dakota and IYO to a Title match.
After initial hesitation, Bayley accepted the challenge on behalf of her Damage CTRL members. Lita and Becky snatched the Titles away from the champions and posed. The match was confirmed for next week's Raw.
- Bronson Reed defeated Chad Gable (with Otis) with a powerslam followed by the Tsunami Splash. After the match, Maxxine Dupri gave Otis her card again.
- Elias was in the ring for a musical segment but Bobby Lashley arrived and took him out with a powerslam followed by The Hurt Lock. He then sent a warning to anyone who tries to embarrass him.
- Austin Theory (c) defeated WWE Hall of Famer Edge to retain the United States Championship in the main event of Raw.
Finn Balor interfered in the match and kicked Edge in the head when the referee wasn't watching. This allowed Theory to hit his A-Town Down finisher on Edge to secure a pin-fall win over the legendary superstar.
After the match, Balor pounced on Edge with a series of stomps and then delivered his Coup De Grace finisher 3 times to stand tall over him and end the show.
