WWE Monday Night Raw results, recap and highlights: March 20, 2023

Bengaluru, March 21: Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns made a rare appearance on the Raw main-event segment, this week to have verbal warfare with his WrestleMania 39 opponent, Cody Rhodes.

WWE United States Champion competed against one-half of the Street Profits on the show while Raw Women's Champion featured in a tag team match. Celebrity, Logan Paul was also in attendance to host "Impaulsive" TV.

Check out the recap and results from the March 20 episode of Monday Night Raw that took place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri:

- In the opening segment of RAW, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn confronted The Usos and challenged them to a match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 39.

Jimmy Uso denied the challenge, but Jey Uso wanted to end the Sami and KO problem and he accepted the challenge. The two teams got into a fight which ended with Sami and KO sending Jimmy and Jey for a retreat.

- United States Champion Austin Theory defeated Montez Ford (with Angelo Dawkins). Theory rolled out of the way of a Frogsplash and dropped Ford with the A-Town Down for the pin to win.

- In a backstage locker room segment, Roman Reigns was seen talking about The Usos getting beat up by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in the opening segment.

Roman then had a solo conversation with Jey and asked him whether he was still with The Bloodline and his family. Jey confirmed that he's Bloodline. Roman was happy with Jey coming back on the same page with the heel faction.

- WWE announced the Men's WrestleMania Showcase Fatal-4-Way Tag Team Match: The Street Profits vs. Braun Strowman & Otis vs. Alpha Academy vs. The Viking Raiders.

- Chelsea Green wanted WWE Official Adam Pearce to put him in the Women's Showcase Fatal-4-Way Match at WrestleMania 39 but she was denied.

- Omos (with MVP) squashed Mustafa Ali by using a Tree Slam. After the match, MVP said Brock Lesnar will learn to fear his seven-footer client at WrestleMania 39.

- Logan Paul presented an episode of "Impaulsive" TV which was interrupted by Seth Rollins who came out and attacked him. The two got into a brawl and for a second time, Logan knocked out Seth with a right hand.

- Dominik Mysterio (with Damian Priest) defeated Johnny Gargano (with Dexter Lumis) in a singles bout. Gargano put Dominik on the top rope for a move, but Dominik knocked him off from up there and delivered a Frog Splash for the pin to win.

After the match, Dominik took the mic and went on a rant about his father Rey Mysterio not accepting his WrestleMania 39 challenge. Dominik will now ask for his Mom's permission so that Rey can take his ba**s out of her purse and accept the match.

- Edge appeared in a promo on the tron and advised Finn to bring The Demon persona for their match inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 39.

- Rhea Ripley cut a promo on defeating SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. Bayley and her DAMAGE CTRL buddies interrupted and this led to a match.

- Rhea Ripley defeated Bayley (with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) in this match where WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, and Women's Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch stood by ringside.

Kai and SKY once pulled Bayley out of the ring, but Lita and Stratus leveled them. Lynch then got Bayley back into the ring, allowing Ripley to deliver a headbutt followed by Riptide for the pin-fall win.

- Ricochet (with Braun Strowman) defeated Chad Gable (with Otis) in a singles contest. Maxxine Dupri came out during the match and took Otis with her.

Gable got distracted as Ricochet hit a standing sliced bread and a Shooting Star Press for the pin to win.

- RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair and Asuka defeated Piper Niven and Chelsea Green in a non-title tag team match.

Asuka tossed her out of the ring before Belair got Niven up on her shoulders and delivered the KOD for the pin-fall win. After the match, Asuka attacked Belair with a spinning heel kick and a sliding knee.

- Roman Reigns came out in the main event segment of Raw with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa to confront Cody Rhodes.

Roman blasted Cody by saying that he didn't want to do the Stardust thing so he ran away from WWE. Then he started a company (AEW) where he couldn't "get over" and hence he came back to the WWE.

The champion added that Cody will run away like a little b**ch after not getting the job done at WrestleMania 39. In reply, Cody said The Tribal Chief will learn to lose again at WrestleMania.

Roman left the ring after which Solo tried to attack Cody with a Samoan Spike. Cody kicked him in the face. Solo went back to hit Cody but this time, Roman stopped him to end the show.
