Bengaluru, August 29: WWE started promoting the next PPV in line, No Mercy by announcing a huge main event, last week. Plus, a title match was made official between Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss. There were also some questions regarding an upcoming feud between John Cena and Roman Reigns.

So, here’s what transpired on Raw hosted by the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Miz and his entourage kicked off things on Raw. They were interrupted by Kurt Angle before even uttering a single word. The Raw GM announced that next week, The Miz will defend his title against a new opponent. To determine the challenger for the IC title, he announced a battle royal among some of the prime superstars from Raw.

Names like Jason Jordan, Big Show, Hardy Boyz, Finn Balor and even the Miz-tourage members were part of the match. Balor was the controller until he was surprisingly eliminated by Bray Wyatt, his Summerslam opponent. Jeff Hardy picked up the win by eliminating the other remaining star in the ring, Jason Jordan.





Brock Lesnar appeared in front of the Memphis crowd to address Braun Strowman’s attack from last week. His advocate admitted the fact that Strowman is the worthy opponent who might take the title away from the beast incarnate. But, also stated that, he has to pass through the suplex city at No Mercy before that.



John Cena and Roman Reigns signed a contract a match at the upcoming PPV in September. As expected, the pair displayed a furious promo in the middle of the ring. After the segment, they teamed up to take on Gallows and Anderson. Both men hit their finishing maneuvers on their opponents to pick up the win.





Seth Rollins had a singles match against Cesaro. Sheamus continued creating shenanigans outside the ring that allowed his partner to connect with a big uppercut for the win.

Dean Ambrose took the revenge in the next match against Sheamus. This time, Rollins distracted Sheamus allowing Ambrose to connect with the Dirty Deeds to pick up the win.

Enzo Amore picked his first win on WWE Raw as a cruiserweight superstar. While, Emma defeated Mickie James in a singles competition. Elias Samson had a segment with the hometown hero, Jerry Lawler.







Alexa Bliss won the Raw Women’s Championship back from Sasha Banks in the main event. She escaped the Bank Statement submission move and connected with her own snap-DDT to pick up the win.

After the match, her friend, Nia Jax attacked her from behind to deliver a huge statement and claimed her chance at the title.
