WWE Monday Night Raw results with video highlights: August 14, 2017

Bengaluru, August 15: WWE Raw witnessed its final edition before the biggest event of the summer, last night. A number one contender's match was already announced to set up the women's championship match. Plus, the match card from the flagship brand was also finalized on the show.

The Monday Night Raw was hosted by the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The show kicked off with Dean Ambrose coming to the ring with a loud ovation. He went onto address the ongoing friction with Seth Rollins and invited him to the ring. They just could put away their differences and started fighting each other. The Raw tag team champions attacked them from behind.

This forced the former Shield brethren to work together. They shoved the champions away with quite an ease. The inevitable Shield reunion took place to a thunderous applause. Kurt Angle showed up to make the Raw tag team match official at Summerslam between Sheamus-Cesaro and Ambrose-Rollins.

The number one contender's match between Nia Jax and Sasha Banks took place, next. The champion, Alexa Bliss sat down at ringside for this contest. The Boss picked up the win with ease by locking in the Banks Statement as Nia tapped out.

Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt had a brawl in the backstage area leading to a match on Raw. Wyatt was able to gain the upper hand playing mind-games and finished off his opponent with a Sister Abigail. After the match, Balor promised to unleash his demon at Summerslam.

Akira Tozawa defeated Neville in the Cruiserweight Championship match via a senton from the top rope. The match was originally scheduled for Summerslam but Tozawa became the new champion earlier by virtue of this contest on Raw.

A segment between Big Cass and Big Show-Enzo took place. Surprisingly, Gallows and Anderson showed up to deliver a beatdown on the world's largest athlete. Mickie James defeated Emma in a singles contest.

The Hardy Boyz had a backstage confrontation with The Miz and they interrupted the singles match between Miz and Jason Jordan.

This set up a six-man tag team match with Hardyz and Jordan taking on against The Miztourage. Jeff Hardy picked up the win on behalf of the babyface team via a Swanton Bomb.

The four competitors of the Universal Championship match had a face-off in the final segment. The security team failed to stop them from the brawl. Lesnar and Strowman were the last two standing inside the ring. The entire Raw roster was called to stop them as the show went off air.
