WWE Monday Night Raw results with video highlights: August 21, 2017

Bengaluru, August 22: WWE Raw began on a fresh-off note from Summerslam where we got some hints of the upcoming feuds on the flagship brand. The preparations for the next PPV in line, No Mercy also kicked off on the show.

Check out the results from Raw hosted by the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

WWE Raw kicked off with the reigning Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman cut a usual promo about his client which was cut short by Braun Strowman.

The monster among men went straight to attack Lesnar. He delivered a big boot and followed it with two running powerslams to lay down the Conqueror in pain.

A Brooklyn street fight was arranged between Enzo Amore and Big Cass. In the middle of the match, Cass fell from the top rope on his knees. He was hurt badly and unable to continue, thereafter. The doctors checked him and canceled the match. Enzo was declared as the winner as he celebrated with the fans.

Emma continued with her frustrations against Sasha Banks winning the title and was put into a match against Nia Jax. The monstrous woman won the match via a Samoan Drop.

Jason Jordan wanted a match against Finn Balor and Kurt Angle gave him that. Balor won the contest quite easily with the Coup De Grace.

Kurt Angle introduced us to the newest member of Raw, John Cena. He was greeted by none other than Roman Reigns. During their confrontation, The Miz interrupted and put into a tag-team contest against Reigns and Cena. Samoa Joe volunteered to be The Miz's partner.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose came out to celebrate their victory in a massive pop from the crowd. The audience turned even louder after The Hardy Boyz came out to confront them.

An impromptu matchup took place between them on WWE Raw. Jeff Hardy missed a Swanton Bomb after which Ambrose connected with the Dirty Deeds for the win.

Sasha Banks came out to celebrate his championship win at Summerslam. She got cut short by Alexa Bliss who demanded her rematch. Sasha was ready to give her one right then but the former champion declined. The championship rematch will take place, next week, instead.

Elias Samson defeated R-Truth in a singles contest by hitting the Drift Away finishing maneuver.

A randomly booked tag team match took place from the Cruiserweight division in which the new team picked up the win. It was also revealed that Akira Tozawa will get his title rematch against Neville on 205 Live.

Roman Reigns and John Cena teamed up in the main event of WWE Raw against The Miz and Samoa Joe. The finishing moments witnessed Reigns hitting his partner with a punch by mistake and getting locked into a choke hold by Joe.

Cena was able to recuperate and connect with the AA to The Miz to pick up the victory and close the show.
