Bengaluru, December 12: Last night’s WWE Raw was close to a PPV night with multiple big matches on the card in which a clash between the two monsters present on the roster to reign supreme on each other was the main event.

Plus, there were three individual singles matches that featured the members of The Shield in the show hosted by the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

WWE Raw kicked off with Samoa Joe inside the ring in the mood to settle the score with Roman Reigns. The Big Dog took a little bit of time before coming down and started a brawl with Joe. The Bar ran down to make it a 3-on-1 ambush but Ambrose-Rollins arrived to try to even the numbers. But, the heels prevailed in the opening segment putting The Shield down.

The opening contest of the night was a tag team match between the team of Paige and Mandy Rose against Bayley and Mickie James. The latter one received a hot tag and was on the verge of picking up a win before Paige took advantage of the referee's distraction and hit Mickie with a superkick to let Mandy pick up the pinfall win.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt had another encounter on the titantron where the Woken one claimed to 'Delete' Wyatt and Sister Abigail. It was a pretty entertaining segment and well received by the WWE Universe.

Next up in a singles contest, Finn Balor defeated Curtis Axel by hitting a Coup De Grace for the win.

Rich Swann's absence in WWE Raw forced the officials to announce a 'second chance' fatal-4-way match among Mustafa Ali, Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese and Cedric Alexander. Cedric picked up the win to advance to next week's singles match against Drew Gulak for the number one contender's spot on 205 Live.

Nia Jax had yet another backstage segment with Enzo Amore after the match.

Roman Reigns' match with Cesaro was converted into an Intercontinental Championship match as the champion is determined to defend it, each week. The Big Dog took revenge from earlier the night by countering the neutralizer and then turning it into a spear for a pinfall win against Cesaro.

Asuka was scheduled to compete in a match against Alicia Fox who never showed up as The Absolution took her out in the backstage. Paige and Co. walked out to the ring to target Asuka, this time. They started attacking her and the women's locker room came out to Asuka's rescue as The Absolution had no choice but to retreat from the scene.

In the other matches featuring The Shield members, Seth Rollins competed against Sheamus and picked up the win by hitting the Ripcord Knee. While, Dean Ambrose squared off against Samoa Joe. Jason Jordan was present at ringside and eventually distracted Ambrose to cost him the match. Joe picked up a submission win via Coquina Clutch.

In the main event of WWE Raw, Kane was up against Braun Strowman with the stipulation that the winner will face Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble for the Universal title. The two men started brawling with each other in the crowd and on the ramp making the match a no contest. The end of the show witnessed Strowman delivering a chokeslam to Kane through a table before the show went off the air.
