WWE Monday Night Raw results with video highlights: February 5, 2018

Bengaluru, February 6: A big main event match was announced for last night's WWE Raw that was set to decide the fourth participant of the men's division Elimination Chamber matchup. Also, we expected to get confirmation of the names for the same match from the women's division. Check out the results from the show hosted by the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

The show kicked off with separate promo segments from the two main-eventers of the night. Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt appeared in the ring to add build up to the first main event match. Despite Wyatt's momentum, Reigns was able to hit the spear to pick up the win. After the match, Woken Matt Hardy appeared to attack Wyatt from behind.

The Miz competed in another qualifying match against Apollo Crews. Just moments before the match, the Hollywood A-lister cut a strong promo about how he would become the Universal Champion at Wrestlemania 34. Once this was over, he took less time to emerge as the winner by pinning his opponent with the Skull Crushing Finale.



Kurt Angle appeared in the ring to discuss about the Elimination Chamber match for the female roster. He named Sonya Deville, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, Bayley and Sasha Banks as the five challengers for the champion. Alexa Bliss walked out to face-off Angle with pure frustration once Angle handed away Nia Jax a Wrestlemania opportunity via a match against Asuka.





After this segment, Bayley competed in a matchup against Asuka. After last week Sasha Banks was unable to pin Asuka, her best friend tried to make the empress of tomorrow her victim. Despite the efforts from the Hugger, Asuka was quick to lock in the arm-bar and pick up the win via submission.





The Raw tag team championship was also put on the line in a rematch from Royal Rumble PPV. However, Jason Jordan was still hurting from his injury and hence Roman Reigns replaced him against The Bar. Jordan came out providing distractions to Sheamus and Cesaro after which decided to leave the ring to make the contest disqualified.







Nia Jax squashed a local competitor in quick time. From the Cruiserweight division, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali teamed up to defeat Tony Nese and Drew Gulak. Mickie James pinned Sonya Deville from the Absolution despite many distractions. The Balor Club came up victorious against The Revival in a tag team contest.





In the second main event of the night, John Cena, Braun Strowman, and Elias competed in a triple threat matchup. Strowman was on the verge to win the contest by hitting Cena with a running powerslam but Elias pushed him off the ring and picked the pinfall win. Elias will now enter the Elimination Chamber in the last position. Aftermath, Strowman destroyed both Cena and Elias down to end this week's WWE Raw.
