WWE Monday Night Raw results with video highlights: July 31, 2017

WWE Monday Night Raw were in the hometown of general manager Kurt Angle last night where we witnessed a triple threat contest in the main event.

Bengaluru, August 1: An earth-shattering contest took place in the main event of WWE Raw, as announced last week during the show.

It was a ruckus as the three contenders shared the same ring in the triple threat match. Plus, a couple of new rivalries kicked off in order to culminate at Summerslam.

Here are the results from this week's Raw hosted by the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:

WWE Raw open with Kurt Angle returning to his hometown of Pittsburgh. As he was addressing the crowd, Brock Lesnar interrupted him with Paul Heyman.

They were not happy with Angle's decision of making a fatal-4-way match for the title. But, Heyman cut a strong promo about how Lesnar will retain at Summerslam to end the opening segment.

The three contenders for the Universal title squared off in a triple threat match in a No DQ contest. Reigns gained the upper hand by putting down Strowman with a superman punch outside the ring. He then hit Samoa Joe with a spear to pick up the win.



Seth Rollins was given a singles contest against Sheamus following a backstage segment. He picked up a big win by pinning Sheamus with a roll up. The tag champs delivered a brutal assault on Rollins, post-match. Ambrose ran down to make the save but he failed and fell victim to them.

Bray Wyatt made an appearance on WWE Raw to address his ongoing rivalry with Finn Balor. During his entry, Balor appeared out of nowhere to seek redemption against Wyatt. He connected with some of his pendant moves before shoving him off the ring with a dropkick.



Jason Jordan appeared on The Miz TV to get insulted by the host, as expected. The IC champion did not spare the Pittsburgh crowd, as well. This led to a confrontation between Jordan and The Miz. Jordan then hit a suplex on the Miz in his entire entourage to put them down and escape the ring.



Bayley got another match with Nia Jax so that she gets punished by the monster lady. However, the contender for the Raw women's title was able to come out victorious by virtue of a count-out. She shoved off Nia into the steel steps from in order to get the count out.





The Hardy Boyz defeated Gallows-Anderson in a match. After that, they also put down the Revival who was lurking at the entrance ramp area.

Elias defeated Kalisto in an impromptu match up via a rolling cutter. In the Cruiserweight division, the new team of Akira, Swann and Cedric picked up the win in a tag team contest.





Big Show featured against Big Cass in the second main event of the night with Enzo Amore present at the ringside. The latter one jumped up on Cass to disqualify to the contest.

Cass continued his assaults on Show and Enzo after the match. Enzo was put down with a big boot but Show managed to knock Cass out with a punch to close this week's Raw.
