Going up against All Elite Wrestling’s Dynamite weekly show, this Wednesday night, WWE NXT is making relevant arrangements to present a special episode outside their Orlando, Florida territory at the WWE Performance Center.

Visiting the ECW arena, WWE will present a show filled up with nostalgia on this week’s NXT as a number of legendary names from the previous ECW promotion will be on board in different roles.

A new match has officially been added to the lineup for the coming episode of NXT also dubbed as WWE NXT 2300 where Je’Von Evans will take on Wes Lee. It appears that this match should involve WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam in some capacity.

Originally, the match setup comes through Evans leaving last week’s NXT Tag Team title match to brawl with the former NXT North American Champion, backstage which left his partner, Cedric Alexander, alone to face Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

When the brawl was underway, they were stopped by referees and the General Manager of NXT, Ava. RVD then came in and said that he had a great idea for his undecided role for the NXT 2300 show.

RVD quickly left the scene without revealing anything more as Lee and Evans continued their brawl to close the October 29 show. Before that, RVD wanted to be a part of NXT 2300 and Ava wanted to announce his role, later.

That being said, it’s presumable that the former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam will possibly play the role of a special enforcer or guest referee for the Evans vs. Lee match on NXT 2300 as we further wait for the confirmation.

Apart from RVD, multiple ECW Legends have been confirmed to appear on NXT 2300 including Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley in the main event and Dawn Marie for officiating a hardcore match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker.

WWE NXT 2300 Episode Match Card

This week’s WWE NXT will air on Wednesday rather than Tuesday night to avoid a clash with the US Presidential Election. It airs from the ECW Arena, now known as the 2300 Arena, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with the following match card,

– Lola Vice vs. Jaida Parker in a Hardcore Match with Dawn Marie as the Special Guest Referee

– NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade & Fatal Influence (NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazzmyn Nyx) vs. Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace & Kelani Jordan

– WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley & NXT Champion Trick Williams vs. Ethan Page & Ridge Holland
