WWE NXT Battleground 2024: TNA’s Jordynne Grace to challenge Roxanne Perez

WWE Universe could barely believe their eyes as the newest challenger for the NXT Women's Championship was revealed to be Jordynne Grace from TNA to set up an inter-promotional bout for the NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event.

On the latest episode of NXT, the general manager Ava came out to introduce Perez's opponent for the women's title at Battleground and brought out Grace amid thunderous reactions from the audience while Perez remained speechless.

The reigning TNA Knockouts Champion entered the ring to confront Perez and cut a promo which concluded with her saying that she is ready to leave Las Vegas as a dual champion. Fans filled up the moment with "TNA" chants.

Grace has been TNA Knockouts Champion since January and she made an appearance at the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble match which possibly marked the beginning of a working relationship between TNA and WWE. After a dominant performance, she was eliminated by Bianca Belair.

NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line at Battleground when The OC (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) challenges Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the belts. On NXT, The OC defeated Edris Enofe and Malik Blade after which the champions attacked them to accept their challenge.

Also, Michin and Kelani Jordan both won their respective qualifying matches on this week's NXT to advance to the North American Ladder Match against Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Lash Legend to determine the first-ever champion.

Michin picked up the win over Tatum Paxley after the "eat defeat" finisher while Jordan defeated Wren Sinclair with a split-legged moonsault to advance. Fallon Henley was sitting at commentary and she smirked at Jordan to tease a future feud.

WWE NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event will take place on June 9 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rapper Sexyy Red has been announced as the host of the show. The updated lineup for the event goes as follows:
