WWE will present its first experimental venture from a UFC venue in the form of NXT Battleground premium live event, next month. One of the big matches on the show will see the crowning of the first-ever NXT North American Championship.
A few weeks ago, WWE NXT General Manager Ava (The Rock's daughter) announced that at Battleground 2024, the first-ever NXT Women's North American Champion will be chosen via a Ladder Match featuring several participants.

Qualifiers for that Ladder Match have started from this week onward and two participants have confirmed their spots at Battleground. Lash Legend and Sol Ruca are the duo who won their respective matches to grab a lifetime opportunity.
Legend scored a win over Ivy Nile on this Tuesday's NXT while Ruca defeated Izzi Dame to move onto Battleground. Qualifiers will continue on next week's NXT with Jaida Parker facing Brinley Reece while Thea Hail will compete against Fallon Henley.
The participants of these qualifiers on NXT were determined via an NXT Combine that aired on last Tuesday's episode. 12 names were selected as per their scores which means there will be six matches with four still remaining.
Apart from the two North American Title match participants, a second match was confirmed for Battleground on NXT where Men's North American Champion Oba Femi will defend his title but his opponent is yet to be determined.
A triple threat number-one contender's match will take place on next Tuesday's WWE NXT show featuring Ivar vs. Josh Briggs vs. Wes Lee. The winner of that match will face Femi for the mid-card title at Battleground.
As confirmed earlier, the WWE NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event will be presented in association with UFC on June 9 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Two matches are set for the PLE as given below:
