WWE NXT Gold Rush 2023: Title Match; Heritage Cup Match announced for Night Two

Bengaluru, June 21: On a happening NXT Gold Rush 2023 edition's first night, Seth Rollins from Monday Night Raw defeated his World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker in the main event. Next week, the NXT Championship match will be the headliner.

The NXT Women's Championship will also be on the line during Night Two of NXT Gold Rush. Plus, a new title match was confirmed for next week's show alongside another bout to be contested for the Heritage Cup.

On the Night One of Gold Rush, Malik Blade & Edris Enofe defeated Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen and Hank Walker & Tank Ledger in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become the number-one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Titles.

As announced earlier, the winners will now get their championship shot at the champions, Gallus on Night Two of Gold Rush. Interestingly, Malik and Enofe earned the title match opportunity just a week after competing in a singles competition on NXT.

On the flip side, Gallus - Wolfgang and Mark Coffey have been the NXT Tag Team Champions since February of this year. Their last successful title defense came against the Creed Brothers on May 28 at NXT Background premium live event.

Malik and Enofe last received a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship back on the October 25, 2022 episode of NXT against then-champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson). They're yet to become champions on NXT.

Also, on the NXT Gold Rush Night Two on June 27, a new match has been added where Nathan Frazer will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Dragon Lee. This match was set up during a backstage confrontation segment.

Frazer volunteered to put the cup on the line against Lee since he felt that he owed it to Lee. A week ago, the masked superstar helped him to win the title from Oro Mensah while fending off the Meta-Four stable.

As noted above, two big matches for next week include Carmelo Hayes defending his NXT Championship against Baron Corbin, and Tiffany Stratton defending her NXT Women's Champion against Thea Hail. The full match card for NXT Gold Rush 2023 Night Two goes as follows:
