Bengaluru, July 31: WWE hosted the Great American Bash 2023 edition as a premium live event for the first time since 2009, last night where the NXT and NXT Women's Championship Matches served as the headliners.
A new pair of tag team titleholders were crowned on the show where Raw's Dominik also went through another title defense. Check out the recap, and results from the PLE that went down from the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas:

- NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo & Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) defeated Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) (c) to cause a title change in the opening match of NXT Great American Bash 2023.
Tony powerbomb-ed Mark over Wolfgang and then also used a crowbar when the referee had his back turned on him. Tony and Lorenzo then double-teamed on Wolfgang to get the pin-fall win.
- Weapons Wild Match: Roxanne Perez defeated Blair Davenport in a match where various weapons were used. In the end, Perez put Davenport through an announce table with a splash before finally pinning her with the Pop Rox finisher.
- Gable Steveson made his in-ring WWE TV debut at NXT Great American Bash 2023 by competing in a match against Baron Corbin which ended in a Double Count-Out and the audience wasn't happy with the outcome.
They heavily booed Gable as he got engaged in a brawl with Corbin. Ultimately, he stood tall by laying out Corbin with a Belly to Belly suplex through the ringside barricade before leaving the ringside area.
- Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) defeated Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali to retain his title in what marked his third title defense at Great American Bash within ten days.
Rhea Ripley played a pivotal role in the finish as he barred Ali from getting a pin-fall and then put Lee through an announce table using the No-DQ rules. Dom capitalized by delivering Frog Splash on Lee for the pin to win.
- Submission Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) defeated Thea Hail for another title retention. Interestingly, Hail never tapped out in this match, and neither did the referee make any signal for the challenger.
Stratton was punishing Hail by locking in the Boston Crab Submission. At a point, Stratton dragged Hail in the middle of the ring for more punishment when Andre Chase threw in the towel to signal the end of the match.
- NXT Championship Match: In the main event of NXT Great American Bash 2023, Carmelo Hayes (c) defeated Ilja Dragunov to retain his title. Hayes' buddy Trick Williams arrived at ringside to cheer him up during the end.
An irate Ilja shifted his focus in taking out Trick as Hayes dropped from behind and then successfully connect with the Nothing but Net leg-drop finisher to gain the pin-fall win and close the night.
