WWE NXT Heatwave 2023: Steel Cage Match and Fatal-4-Way set for August 29 Episode

Bengaluru, August 23: One of the biggest news coming out of the NXT Heatwave 2023 edition is the kidnap of The Rock's daughter soon after she was done with the first solo match of her in-ring career.

The incident eventually has also set up a match for next week in a stipulated environment that provides a chance for the former NXT Tag Team Champions, The Creed Brothers to be back on WWE's third brand.

As seen on the August 22 episode of NXT, Ivy Nile defeated Ava Raine (The Rock's daughter) in the latter's first singles in-ring competition on NXT TV. The newbie eventually tapped out to the Dragon Sleeper submission of Ivy.

Later that night on NXT Heatwave 2023, Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers kidnapped Ava Raine. In a promo, they intended to return Ava only if they can compete in a Steel Cage Match against The Dyad on next week's NXT.

The match stipulation also stated that if The Creeds can pick up the win then they will be allowed to appear on NXT. Previously, The Creeds lost a Loser Leaves NXT match to Schism to be written off TV.

Before the main event of the NXT Heatwave special, Schism leader Joe Gacy appeared in a promo as he accepted the challenge laid down by The Creed Brothers as they would do anything to save their sister Ava Raine.

Apart from the huge Steel Cage Match on the August 29 episode, a multi-woman matchup will also be going down on NXT to determine the new number-one contender for the NXT Women's Championship.

During the Heatwave special episode, NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton appeared to declare the 2023 summer being the "Summer of Tiff Tiff" where she has emerged to be a better NXT Women's Champion than Bayley, Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.

Gigi Dolin, Kiana James, Blair Davenport, and Roxanne Perez came out to interrupt the segment and make their points to go after Tiffany and her women's title. A brawl ensued among the four while Tiffany rolled out of the ring.

Later on the show, NXT's resident "Buff Barbie Doll" announced that next week a Fatal-4-Way with the lineup of Roxanne Perez vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James vs. Blair Davenport will take place to determine her next challenger over the NXT Women's Title.

Tiffany Stratton won the NXT Women's Title at Battleground premium live even in late May by defeating Lyra Valkyria in the finale of a tournament. She went through two successful title defenses, both against Thea Hail of Chase University.
