An eventful night passed by on WWE NXT, this week where buildups for the next premium live event, Vengeance Day were observed under a new General Manager of the show as informed by a returnee.
The longest-tenured GM of all time on NXT, William Regal made a surprise attendance on the January 23 episode to inform Ava Raine (The Rock's daughter) that she will be acting as the new GM of the show.

The news came just after the opening bout of NXT where Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin defeated Axiom and Nathan Frazer to advance to the Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament.
Corbin and Breakker took some time to recover from the early onslaught by their opponents. Nathan Frazer even hit the 450 splash from which Breakker survived and hit him back with a spear to pick up the win for his team.
With this win, Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin have now advanced to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic where they will now face the winners of the next semi-finals with the lineup of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams vs. LWO.
The finale of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is set for Vengeance Day premium live event which now has one more championship match on the card where the NXT North American Title will be on the line.
A couple of weeks ago, Oba Femi cashed in his Men's NXT Breakout Tournament winning contract and defeated Dragon Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion. This was a shocking move since Femi is comparatively new to the WWE.
Last week on NXT, Oba Femi was addressing the NXT Universe as the new champion. But, Dragon Lee interrupted him and demanded a rematch for the title. Femi initially denied his request and said that he would give his answer, later.
Then on the latest episode of NXT, Lee went face-to-face with Scrypts and picked up the win in a back-and-forth contest. Oba Femi was sitting at ringside and he finally agreed to have the rematch against Dragon Lee at NXT Vengeance Day.
The 2024 WWE Vengeance Day premium live event will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. The confirmed match card for the show is given below:
