WWE NXT Roadblock 2023: Tag Team Match, Bitter rivals’ match & more announced

Bengaluru, March 1: Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal had a failed attempt in gaining the NXT Championship from Bron Breakker, last week on WWE NXT. But, he is all set to go up against the champion, once again at Roadblock.

As confirmed by WWE, The Modern Day Maharaja will dance in the ring with the champion, next week, this time in a huge six-man tag team match. A win in that match could put Mahal back in the hunt for the NXT Championship.

On last night's NXT, Jinder Mahal accompanied Indus Sher - Veer Mahaan, and Sanga to secure a win over Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen in a tag team match.

Once the match was over, Jinder took the mic and laid down a challenge to Sher's long-time rivals The Creed Brothers and a partner of their own choice in a six-man tag team match at NXT Roadblock.

Later, WWE confirmed that Bron Breakker will be the teammate for The Creeds. That being said, the full lineup stands, WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed and Julius Creed) vs. Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher (Sanga and Veer Mahaan).

In another confirmed match, Andre Chase will take on Joe Gacy in a singles competition. The match was announced after Gacy and The Schism members interrupted Mr. Chase's class in a backstage segment of NXT.

The anticipated match between friend-turned-foe, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne will also go down on Roadblock. Dolin cut an emotional promo on last night's NXT this week about having a bitter life at home as a young person.

Dolin then promised to put an end to Toxic Attraction once and for all at Roadblock when she takes on Jacy Jayne. The latter turned on Dolin after a failed attempt to gain the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Vengeance Day PLE.

Also, Grayson Waller will finally get his wish to have WWE's Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels on board for NXT Roadblock.

Waller shared a video via Twitter reacting to the announcement where Michaels confirmed his presence on the Grayson Waller Effect talk show. Waller was seemingly excited about getting to pick the brain of the WWE Hall of Famer.

The 2023 WWE NXT Roadblock will take place next Wednesday, March 7 at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The updated match card for the night goes as follows:

- WWE NXT Women's Championship Match: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Meiko Satomura

- Jailhouse Street Fight: Tony D'Angelo vs. Dijak

- The Grayson Waller Effect with special guest Shawn Michaels

- WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and The Creed Brothers vs. Jinder Mahal & Indus Sher

- Gigi Dolin vs. Jacy Jayne

- Andre Chase vs. Joe Gacy
