WWE NXT Roadblock 2024: Title Match and more set for March 5 episode

WWE NXT will present the themed Roadblock 2024 edition, next week and the card for the show would be a stacked one after a championship match and a gimmick match were added to it.

During this week's episode of WWE NXT at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida, NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria appeared in the ring for a promo segment to address her win against Lash Legend, last week.

Heading into this match, Lyra instructed the obsessive Tatum Paxley to stay backstage and she did so, allowing Lyra to defeat Lash all on her own. As a reward for listening to her words, Lyra has now offered a title match opportunity.

Lyra Valkyria announced that she and Tatum Paxley will team up to face The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at NXT Roadblock on the March 5 episode.

This won't be the first time that Lyra and Tatum will team up as they already hold a 2-1 record together in tag team matches. The only loss for the team came at the hands of Shotzi and Gigi Dolin at an NXT house show on February 10.

As for The Kabuki Warriors, they won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships for the second time on Smackdown, last month. Most recently, the two had a successful title defense against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell on the WWE Elimination Chamber pre-show.

Also, in her promo, Lyra Valkyria extended well wishes to Shotzi in her recovery period from the fatal injury suffered, last week before assuring her a title shot upon return. She also credited Lash Legend for putting up a stellar performance, last week.

Also on NXT, Dijak defeated Luca Crusifino and after the match, Joe Gacy escaped from his Straitjacket and attacked Dijak when the latter was in discussion with the youngest NXT General Manager of all time, Ava.

The two had to be separated by the officials and referees after which Dijak vs. Joe Gacy in an Asylum Match was announced for Roadblock. Following these announcements, the March 5 special episode's match card stands as follows:

• NXT Championship Number-One Contender's Match: Tony D'Angelo vs. Carmelo Hayes
• WWE Women's Tag Championship Match: Kabuki Warriors vs. Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley
• NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin vs. Andre Chase & Duke Hudson
• Intense Asylum Match: Dijak vs. Joe Gacy
