WWE NXT: Shocking Heel Turn; Big Return and Title Matches Announced

Bengaluru, April 5: In an apparent heel-turn, the poster figure of WWE NXT, Bron Breakker unleashed his vicious side on the new NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes to stretch out the feud instead of moving into the main roster.

Hayes came out to the ring in the final segment of NXT, this week. After a short promo, he called out Bron Breakker, the man he defeated to win his maiden NXT Title at Stand & Deliver 2023 edition.

After thanking Breakker for everything, Hayes extended his hands but Breakker responded by attacking Carmelo Hayes, out of nowhere. Although this was a heel-turn by the top NXT Superstar, the crowd chanted "one more time" instead of booing him.

As noted above, many fans believed that Breakker was on his way to the WWE main roster but that should be on hold, for the time being. In a different creative direction, he is likely to unravel his villainous side and thereby continue his NXT stint.

Another big news from the post-WrestleMania 39 weekend episode of NXT is the return of Cora Jade who halted the momentum of Indi Hartwell as she was coming hot off the heels of her championship victory at WWE Stand & Deliver.

In her first title match defense as champion, Indi Hartwell defeated Zoey Stark in a back-and-forth encounter on NXT. After suffering a belly-to-back suplex, Hartwell wisely rolled out of her opponent's next move and downed her shoulder for the referee's three counts for the pin-fall win.

As the celebration started, Hartwell soon realized that there was a target in her back in the form of Cora Jade. Before the champion could recuperate, Jade sent her crashing to the mat with a DDT and claimed to be still running this place.

While exiting the ring, Jade exchanged words with Tiffany Stratton, who watched the set of actions from the entrance ramp. Both these women are currently focused on winning the gold from Hartwell's possession.

Jade has been absent from WWE programming for nearly three months. Her last match occurred on the January 10 episode of NXT which was a 20-woman battle royal to determine the new contender for the NXT Women's Title.

Upon her return on the March 4 episode of NXT, Jade is now being advertised to appear, next week to discuss her action. She will likely demand a championship match opportunity from the new NXT Women's Champion on that night.

Speaking of champions, the former NXT Women's Tag Champs, Fallon Henley, and Kiana James will get a shot to win back the gold when they challenge Alba Fyer and Isla Dawn for those titles, next week. Fyre and Dawn won those belts at Stand & Deliver.

Overall, two matches and two segments have been confirmed for the March 11 episode of WWE NXT to be aired from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the match card as given below:

- NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre (c) vs. Kiana James & Fallon Henley

- MVP Trophy goes to Duke Hudson

- Ilja Dragunov vs Von Wagner

- Cora Jade appears
