WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023: Spoiler on major return in title match capacity

Bengaluru, March 24: The match setup process for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 suffered a significant blow after the reigning NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez was dubiously pulled out of the card due to medical reasons.

It now turns out that WWE could have created a hoax situation around Perez to keep the fans guessing about her current condition whereas the up-and-rising talent is more than ready to go inside the squared circle in time for the upcoming WWE premium live event.

PWInsider Elite has reported that several sources have confirmed that Roxanne Perez is scheduled to be at the 2023 edition of Stand & Deliver set to emanate from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

It wasn't mentioned whether she will be involved in a match but given her strong status, it's hard to imagine that 'The Prodigy' will just be present at the arena for the show, to surrender her title due to non-clearance by the doctors.

Perez's status became a mystery after she successfully defended the WWE NXT Women's Title defense at Roadblock against veteran Meiko Satomura and collapsed on the spot to be stretchered out of the arena.

It was a kayfabe way to write the 21-year-old superstar off TV as she was dealing with some other unrecognized problems. Due to her absence, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels announced a Ladder Match to crown a new champion.

Initially, a Triple Threat, that match will now be a Fatal-5-Way encounter with the NXT Women's Title belt hanging high above the ring. Zoey Stark, Gigi Dolin, Tiffany Stratton, and Lyra Valkyria have already qualified while Indi Hartwell is the reported fifth name of the fray.

The current assumption is that Perez will get added to this title defense at the very last moment, without any prior announcement, possibly just before the match would be about to start at NXT Stand & Deliver, a week from this Saturday.

Perez won the NXT Women's Championship by defeating Mandy Rose in December. NXT Stand & Deliver would mark her third title defense after going through successful defenses at NXT Vengeance Day and Roadblock.

The upcoming premium live event at WrestleMania 39 weekend will also see another Fatal-5-Way for the NXT North American Champion where Wes Lee will defend the belt against Dragon Lee, Ilja Dragunov, JD McDonagh, and Axiom (informed by PWInsider).

In the main event of WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, Bron Breakker will defend his NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes in a battle between the two top-most superstars of the white-and-yellow brand.

Plus, Fallon Henley and Kiana James will defend their NXT Women's Tag Team Titles against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. At the same time, former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano will compete in an Unsanctioned Match against Grayson Waller.
