WWE NXT: Title Match confirmation, qualifiers and more set for May 28 episode

WWE NXT is building things toward the annual Battleground premium live event which will be the first joint venture for the company with UFC at the state-of-the-art facility UFC Apex in the second week of June.

Next week on NXT programming, another title match will officially be added to the card of Battleground as the NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez will learn about her opponent and her next title defense for the PLE.

WWE revealed on this Tuesday's episode about Perez's Women's Championship being on the line at Battleground and that her opponent will officially be announced on next week's show. Nothing in detail was further noted about the determination process.

Perez has been the reigning women's champion on the NXT brand since defeating Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver PLE at the WrestleMania XL weekend. This is her second reign with the belt while Lyra has since been exported to the Raw brand.

Two qualifying matches have also been announced for next week's episode of NXT which will determine the final two participants for the six-pack ladder match set for Battleground to crown the inaugural Women's NXT North American Champion.

Michin will face Tatum Paxley in one qualifier, while Kelani Jordan will face Wren Sinclair in the other. Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker and Fallon Henley are the four names who have already entered the fray by winning their respective qualifiers.

WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams will be in action in a tag team match while celebrity rapper Sexyy Red will also appear on the show. At a glance, the May 28 episode match card is given below:
