WWE: Original planning for Bayley Vs Charlotte match at Fastlane

Bengaluru, Mar 12: Last Sunday, March 5, it was Bayley Vs Charlotte for the Raw women's championship.

The match had witnessed Charlotte's first singles PPV loss in her career. She was undefeated in the PPV singles matches ever since 2015 Night of Champions. Her overall record now stands at 16-1.

Almost majority of the sources suggested that Charlotte's PPV streak will be kept intact until Wrestlemania.

Hence, she was guaranteed to win the title and become a five-time title holder. But, Bayley retained the title to the shock of the WWE fans.

As reported by PWInsider.com, there has been a recent change in planning regarding this matchup. The champion was originally scheduled to be stripped of the title on the night.

This would happen via interference from Sasha Banks. The Boss showing up was previously booked to be the distraction for Bayley due to which she would lose her title to the Queen. This would further set up a Wrestlemania bout between Sasha and Bayley.

But, the creative decided to go with the different planning in which Sasha kept acting as a babyface. Although WWE fans wanted to see a feud between Sasha and Bayley, they have to wait some more. For now, the triple threat match is intact to take place at Mania.

Sasha was playing a pivotal role in this championship rivalry between Charlotte and Bayley. She was the reason why the Hugger was crowned as the champion at the Las Vegas edition of Monday Night Raw.



As promised, she was also seen on Bayley's corner during the title match at Fastlane. Her interference allowed Bayley to connect with her signature suplex on the floor.

Afterward, Sasha also pointed out to the referee that Charlotte was using the rope while pinning Bayley. This was the moment when the champion hit the Bayley-to-belly suplex for a second time to pick up the win.

We learned on Raw that the title match at Wrestlemania will be a triple threat. There is a certain chance that this might convert into a fatal-4-way with the inclusion of Nia Jax.

This lady has pinned the champion, two weeks ago on Raw which should allow her to claim the title, as well.
