WWE: Paige’s father and Alberto Del Rio indulge in nasty twitter war

Bengaluru, April 29: Although Paige and Alberto Del Rio is in love for a long time now, Paige's father, Ricky Knight never appreciated their relation. The couple got engaged, last year and waiting to tie the knot in a secret ceremony.

But, Ricky was never happy with them two getting married. He expressed his disgust over the fact on social media platforms for multiple times.

Apparently, he is bothered about the huge age difference between Paige and Del Rio. He is also well aware of the fact that Del Rio is quite famous for his 'bad boy' image.

So, Ricky went on a rant against Del Rio quoting: “Putting this out there, then saying no more about it to anyone. I am totally against my daughter marrying that man. Statement over."

Now, this real-time heat will soon get into wrestling mode as Alberto is scheduled to face Ricky Knight in an upcoming event conducted by World Association of Wrestling (WAW) in Norwich, England.

In case you don't know, this promotion is run by Paige's parents, Ricky and Saraya Knight.

At this time, Ricky and Del Rio resumed their feud on twitter blasting each other on a personal level.

Apparently, this one might be a trick to promote the upcoming fight between Del Rio and his soon-to-be father-in-law.

As you can see above, the match between them is scheduled to take place on 13th May at the EPIC studios in Norwich. The heated exchange might indicate that these two are still on bad terms.

But, in reality, it's totally different. They might have let the bygones be bygones. Del Rio was handed an opportunity to become the new champion in the promotion.

This argument is just to promote the fight to an extreme point. Ricky is a 63-year old wrestler and in no shape to put on a great match against the former WWE champion who is also considered to be one of the veterans in the pro-wrestling circuit.
