Potential match card for WWE Clash of Champions PPV

Bengaluru, November 28: Only one PPV event is remaining in WWE calendar for this year, it will be the return of Clash of Champions event as part of a Smackdown-exclusive PPV. This PPV is usually hosted right after Summerslam, but, this year it has been rescheduled for December.

On December 17th, the TD Gardens in Boston, Massachusetts will play host to COC PPV. Till now, only the main event of the show had been announced. Jinder Mahal invoked his rematch clause against AJ Styles on Smackdown last week. So, these two will square off for the WWE Championship.

The promotions for the PPV has started around this matchup whereas we would gradually see the rest of the matches to be announced, very soon.

In the meantime, EWrestlingNews.com revealed the potential match card for Clash of Champions. You can take a look at it as given below,

WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) Vs Jinder Mahal

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: Usos (c) Vs Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

United States Championship Match: Baron Corbin (c) Vs Bobby Roode

Tag Team Match: Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura Vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Tag Team Match: New Day Vs Rusev and Aiden English

Tag Team Match: Charlotte, Natalya & Naomi Vs Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan

As you can see, there will be a start of a new championship feud between Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode for the United States title. The lackluster storyline between the champ and Sin Cara is over. The inclusion of the Glorious One in the picture might make things interesting on Smackdown.

Also, the interesting thing is that the Smackdown women's championship will not be on the line at the PPV. The debutants from the NXT roster will be the main focus and hence there will be tag team match where the bitter rivals from the blue brand will team up against them.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are likely to throw tantrums in the upcoming weeks against the authority figures. So, they will feature in a match against the dream team of Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura while the tag team title rivalry will continue between the champs and, the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable.
