WWE Raw before WrestleMania 40: The Rock and Roman Reigns lay out opponents

The Rock was back on WWE Raw for the second consecutive week and he continued to be portrayed as a vicious persona. Claiming that ratings are up due to him, he congratulated the host city Brooklyn on setting the record for the highest gate for RAW ever.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns soon joined him in the ring as Michael Cole confirmed that this weekend will mark 2 WrestleMania events for Roman as he will set the record for the most WrestleMania main events: 9 (surpassing Hulk Hogan's record of 8).

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins interrupted Roman's promo. Since this week's Raw was promoted to be the biggest RAW of all time, he challenged The Rock to a singles match in the main event.

Seth even challenged Roman in a stipulated match but he was denied. Rock reminded that he beat Cody so badly that the latter has brain damage and Seth won't want to pick up an injury like that before WrestleMania XL.

The Rock said Seth won't be facing him or Roman. Rather, Seth Rollins vs. Solo Sikoa in the main event of Raw was announced under Bloodline Rules to the excitement of the fans present at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Then in the final segment of Raw, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Solo Sikoa under Bloodline Rules ended in a No Contest. Jimmy Uso interfered in the match, which led to Jey Uso making the save.

They eventually brawled to the back, which led to The Rock delivering a beatdown on Jey. Rock then headed to the ring to attack Seth, but Seth had a smile on his face seemingly indicating something was about to happen.

Cody Rhodes' music hit the arena and he ran to the ring to attack The Rock to the cheers of the audience. Seth joined in and many thought it was a payback time since Roman left the building to write his speech for Paul Heyman's Hall of Fame induction.

Cody was about to hit The Rock with the Rock Bottom on top of the announce table, but Roman Reigns came back and saved. Reigns hit Rollins with a Superman Punch and Cody with a Spear before punishing them with a belt to end Raw.
