WWE Raw: Big Gauntlet and Revenge Tour announced for March 11 episode

WWE Raw is bringing the heat before WrestleMania 40 with some packed storylines that will culminate at the biggest premium live event of the year. That being said, a big match for the show will be declared, next week.

GUNTHER has been the most dominant Intercontinental Champion in the history of the WWE, with his reign already touching a historic 633-day milestone. At WrestleMania 40, he will put the prestigious title on the line in a one-on-one bout.

As announced on this week's Raw by General Manager Adam Pearce, six WWE Superstars will have the opportunity to face "The Ring General" at WrestleMania 40, if they can win a Gauntlet Match.

Pearce confirmed the six names to be the participants of the match to be top stars from Raw, Dominik Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, Bronson Reed, and Sami Zayn with a title match opportunity waiting for them at The Show of Shows.

The decision came after several Raw locker room members pleaded their case to the General Manager to choose GUNTHER as their WrestleMania opponent. This aspect of the storyline also hinted at a possible Ladder Match for the biggest event of the year.

However, the Gauntlet confirmed that the title match will be a singles bout, instead. Meanwhile, GUNTHER overcame "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio on Raw and most recently he retained the Intercontinental Championship against Jey Uso on the February 19 episode of Raw.

Also on next week's episode of Raw, two of the most popular women's superstars on the active roster will lock horns. It will be Becky Lynch going up against Liv Morgan as the latter's revenge tour will continue.

Last night, Becky Lynch went up against her long-time rival, Nia Jax to settle their ongoing differences. Morgan appeared at ringside and took out Nia Jax with a dropkick from the barricade, causing Becky to lose via Disqualification.

Liv and Becky got into a heated argument inside the ring only to suffer the wrath of Nia Jax who took them outside the ring. The two continued their verbal wars at the backstage area to set up the big match for the March 11 episode.

Since her comeback to the WWE at Royal Rumble, Morgan has been eyeing Rhea Ripley's Women's World Title but it will be Becky who will challenge Judgment Day's MAMI for the championship at WrestleMania 40.
