WWE Raw to broadcast live on Christmas and New Year for the first-time

New Delhi, Sep 8: WWE generally broadcasts a special edition of Raw and Smackdown for the holiday season. This happens on the very last episode of the year where we get to see some fun stuff on the show adjacent to the season. But, this year, the anticipation has got higher with a recent announcement.
This year, both 25th of December and 1st January are on Mondays and hence the flagship show of the WWE will broadcast live on the mentioned date, for the first time. On December 26th, the Christmas season will continue with the live telecast of Smackdown Live, as well.
It is needless to say that on those special dates, WWE is bound to organize something special to close the year on a bigger note. Plus, the arrangements for 2018 will also be in full force on New Year day. Check out the advertisement from WWE.com, here:
“Prepare to celebrate the holidays with WWE this year as Raw broadcasts LIVE on Christmas night, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
This marks the first time that WWE will present Monday night’s hottest show live on the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. These unprecedented broadcasts aim to best serve you, the WWE Universe, during the holiday season. Additionally, SmackDown will be broadcast live on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

About my last tweet...apparently it's the network's decision...not WWE's...but still...

Both Reby Hardy and Beth Hardy, wives of Matt and Jeff Hardy, respectively expressed their disappointments for not getting their husband around on those nights.
However, Beth also let us knew that the decision of putting the show was not taken by the WWE. Rather, it was the USA Network behind the move which would bring some exciting WWE actions on the Holiday season.
