The CM Punk – Drew McIntyre feud continues on WWE Raw despite the former claiming that it ended at Bash in Berlin through their Strap Match. McIntyre delivered a hellacious beating on his arch-rival that landed him straight to hospital.
On this week’s Raw which took place at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, CM Punk appeared to celebrate his win over Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin. Moving on, he made his intentions clear about going after the World Heavyweight Championship.

Punk congratulated the reigning champion Gunther for his title retention at last weekend’s PLE over Randy Orton and told him to enjoy it. “We’re gonna enjoy taking it off of you.” he added, “The goal is gold, the target is Gunther.”
As Punk was posing on the turnbuckles, McIntyre attacked him and put him down with a Claymore Kick. He took back Punk’s bracelet and proceeded to tear it before shoving the beads into Punk’s mouth.
In a backstage segment, Punk was seen taken away to the hospital on a stretcher with blood coming out of his mouth. McIntyre attacked him even there and wanted to put thumbs in his eyes before the officials took him away.
It appears that Punk vs. McIntyre III has been set up via this altercation on Raw and it will go down at the Bad Blood event in early October. Given the intensity of the feud, these two should face each other in a stipulated environment.
In more news from Raw, the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther possibly received his next opponent for the title in the form of Sami Zayn who came out and told Gunther that now he was coming after the world title.
Gunther ultimately rejected Zayn’s challenge and he was leaving the ring when Zayn reminded him that he was the only person that has defeated Gunther in WWE. So, irrespective of Gunther’s decision, he was coming for the top title.
At WrestleMania XL, Zayn defeated Gunther to end his 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion, the longest reign in the title’s history. Gunther then won the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam which he retained against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin.
