WWE Raw: CM Punk Goes Into Hiatus; WrestleMania 41 Match Teased

CM Punk is moving into a hiatus as stated on the latest episode of WWE Raw following the brutal encounter he went through against Drew McIntyre, this past weekend inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

In the opening segment of the October 7 episode of Raw, Punk came out in a bandaged state to talk about his match against McIntyre from Saturday and admitted to not knowing about his future in this banged-up condition.

After thanking his fans as well as the haters, Punk stated that he was going home to see his wife, as he hadn’t seen her in five weeks. “I’d like to say I’ll see you soon, but I just don’t know,” Punk said. “Thank you.”

As the Second City Saint was leaving, Seth Rollins emerged on the scene to have a staredown with him. Rollins made his way to the ring and said that after Punk makes his return, he would retire him for good.

This was a subtle hint that Rollins vs. Punk in a major WrestleMania 41 rivalry could be in the pipeline at the beginning of next year. The match was canceled this year due to Punk’s injury from the Royal Rumble.

Moving on, Punk spent almost the entire 2024 feuding with Drew McIntyre. McIntyre won the first match against Punk at SummerSlam but the latter made a comeback winning at Bash in Berlin and Bad Blood to conclude the personal rivalry.

McIntyre wasn’t present on this week’s Raw as he’s also reported to be in a banged-up situation from the bygone Hell in a Cell Match. After being hit with a toolbox in the match, he was seen profusely bleeding from the forehead.

16 stitches were needed to stop the blood as shared by him in a picture on social media. Given his condition, The Scottish Warrior should also be given time-off for at least a few weeks.

In the absence of Punk and McIntyre, Rollins will be a top attraction in the coming episodes of Monday Night Raw. Returning from a back injury, he’s expected to be a regular attendee on WWE’s flagship show in the coming weeks.
