WWE Raw: Drew McIntyre’s return and face-off added to July 15 episode

Per the ongoing storyline on Raw, Drew McIntyre is barred from entering any WWE event as he's serving a storyline suspension issued by the company. But next Monday night, he will be there on Raw to meet with the General Manager.

It's been announced that McIntyre is slated to make his return on the July 15 episode of Raw to discuss his storyline reinstatement after GM Adam Pearce handed him an indefinite storyline suspension following Money in the Bank.

In the post-show of the premium live event, McIntyre created a ruckus and put his hands on the WWE officials including Pearce after CM Punk cost him an opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Earlier that night, McIntyre won the men's Money in the Bank ladder match and then cashed in during the Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins world title match to make it a triple threat. But Punk's interference made sure that McIntyre didn't win the title.

During this week's episode of Raw, Punk made an appearance and cut a promo on the consequence of McIntyre's previous actions and that he failed to keep his promise of leaving Money in the Bank as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

McIntyre was fined $50,000 alongside a suspension which Punk demanded to be withdrawn by Pearce so that he could confront him, whether in the ring, in the parking lot, or in the crowd.

In response to this pledge, Pearce only agreed to bring McIntyre to Raw for a meeting with Pearce to discuss a possible reinstatement. The storyline is currently indicating a matchup between the duo at SummerSlam given Punk is cleared for action.

Speaking of SummerSlam, Damian Priest will confront his opponent at the PLE over the World Heavyweight Championship, Gunther. By winning the 2024 King of the Ring tournament, Gunther had already secured the world title shot.

WWE Raw July 12 episode takes place at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. Apart from the two aforementioned matches, a third match featuring former world champion Sheamus has also been announced. At a glance, the match card goes as follows:
