WWE Raw: Huge Title Match and John Cena’s return announced; WrestleMania challenge issued

Bengaluru, Febraury 21: Bayley held her "Ding Dong, Hello!" talk-show segment with her DAMAGE CTRL buddies WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY as the guests during the latest episode of Raw.

Bayley called Sky and Kai as the greatest Women's Tag Team Champions of all time after which Becky Lynch came out alongside WWE Hall of Famer Lita.

Becky and Lita then challenged Dakota and IYO to a Title match. In response, Bayley said that they just can't show up and issue a challenge for the championship.

Becky said that one of the greatest of all time, Lita is a former 4-time Women's Champion while she herself was mentioned as a 6-time Women's Champion and the winner of the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event.

Lita questioned whether Dakota and IYO were scared and if they really are the greatest Women's Tag Team Champions of all time. This time, Bayley accepted the challenge on behalf of her Damage CTRL members, and the match was confirmed for next week.

Speaking of next week, the presence of Brock Lesnar is expected although there's no confirmation available. This comes after the marquee attraction of the WWE roster was challenged to a WrestleMania match.

On this week's Raw, MVP called Lesnar a coward for going low-blowing Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber when he couldn't find an escape.

MVP then announced that his client, the 7-foot-3, 416-pound "The Nigerian Giant" Omos is challenging Lesnar to a first-time-ever match at WrestleMania 39.

Since that segment, WWE released a promotional poster for next week's Raw, doubting whether The Beast will show up to accept the WrestleMania challenge laid down by the seven-footer.

At the Elimination Chamber 2023 premium live event, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley competed in their third singles encounter that ended in a DQ in favor of the latter as Lesnar went below the belt after being unable to break The Hurt Lock submission.

Apart from these segments, a Miz TV WrestleMania edition will be there alongside Asuka vs. Carmella matchup. At a glance the February 27 episode match card from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan:

Apart from the stacked card for next week's Raw, John Cena's massive return on the Road to WrestleMania 39 has also been announced two weeks from now on the March 6 episode from his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

Recent reports have claimed that Cena is "locked in" for a match against the reigning WWE United States Champion, Austin Theory and the storyline-build around the match should commence on that night.
